Sony DSCHX80/B Review

Sony DSCHX80/B Overview

The camera comes with 18.2 megapixels and an Exmor R CMOS sensor, which allows clear images to be taken in low light as well. The images taken in the day are of astounding quality. The 60x Clear Image Zoom (Carl Zeiss lens) allows the camera to take images more accurately and zoom into objects placed far away. It also has a retractable viewfinder and combine that with its 180-degree LCD tilt, it allows the camera to take striking images, which includes selfies as well. The DSCHX80/B’s Optical SteadyShot image stabilization feature allows the camera to take clear and accurate images and videos. With the help of this feature, the camera can capture moving images clearly and reduces the blur considerably in the pictures taken.

Sony DSCHX80/B YouTube Performance Review

Sony DSCHX80/B ReviewThe camera has the ability to record in AVCHD, which allows high-definition transfer of videos onto Blu-ray discs and HDTV. The videos can also be compressed into other MP4 HD formats for easy uploading. The Sony DSCHX80/B also comes with a built-in mic that has linear PCM, which allows for audio compression which, in turn, delivers the best sound quality in the videos. Though in this Sony DSCHX80/B review, it must be noted that the camera does not capture every bit of sound that one would like to hear.

The camera can capture high-definition videos in XAVC S format. This format combined with 50 Mbps Full HD 60p video recording allows the camera to capture amazing videos. The screen time for the videos is 29 minutes, after which another segment will need to be created. However, the camera takes better pictures than videos. Videos can also be captured in various angles with the 180-degree tilt feature and the electronic viewfinder.
